Why was Vasco at the side door? Follow English Detective for more mysteries! He looks for clues, just like Mara and Theo do. On the night the map went missing, he was at work. 0:00

That is his alibi. The old map is still missing. Today the detectives find something very blue. Where does it come from? 0:13

The case begins

In the morning, Ines opens the archive door. 1:31

Ines: Good morning! Catarina is in the back room. 1:34

Catarina takes them to a small room behind the shelves. Mara looks behind an old box. She finds an old towel with a bright blue mark. 1:37

Mara: Theo, look! This blue is so bright! 1:47

Theo touches the mark. It is paint! 1:51

Theo: This is a clue. Who uses blue paint here? 1:54

Catarina shakes her head. Nobody paints in the archive, she says. Then Vasco comes in with his camera. Mara trusts Vasco now. 1:57

He takes a photo of the towel. Now the towel is evidence. Vasco is a reporter, and he knows the city. He says that painters buy paint at the flea market. 2:08

A flea market is a big market with old things. 2:19

The search continues

On Saturday, Mara and Theo go to the flea market. It is busy, with old chairs, cups and paintings. A woman sells old paintings at her stall. Theo looks at a painting of the river. 2:44

The sky in the painting is very blue! 2:58

Theo: Look, there is a signature in the corner. 3:00

The woman smiles. Some paintings here are not real, she says. A forger made them! Then they see Mister Bento at a cup stall. 3:03

He comes to this market every Saturday. Mister Bento sees everything. He is a good witness. Mara shows him the blue towel. 3:13

Mister Bento looks at it for a long time. 3:23

What did we learn?

So who buys this blue paint? We do not know yet. Let's check our three words! A forger makes a copy. 3:27

Forger. Say it! The painting has a name in the corner. Signature. 3:35

Say it! Mara and Theo go to the flea market. Market. Say it! 3:43

Next time

Mister Bento holds the towel close and smiles. He knows this blue paint! It is very special. Only one stall in the city sells it! 3:53

Mara and Theo look at each other. 4:04

Mara: Which stall is it? 4:07

Next time: the stall with the blue paint. Now stand up. Say our three words with me. Forger! 4:08
