How do I use one part in a lesson?
- Show the picture of the first word and let the children guess it before the video says it.
- Pause at the question, about halfway. Each child says an idea, then the class votes. The answer comes in the next part.
- Say the three words together and clap the letters, as the video does.
- Read the text on the part page aloud, one voice per character. The words are marked in the text.
- Use the five questions on the part page for a quick check, then ask for one new sentence with each word.
What is in each part?
| Part | Words | Question |
|---|---|---|
| Part 1: Who Took the Map? | clue, witness, alibi | Who could go into the archive last night? |
| Part 2: Why Is Catarina So Nervous? | nervous, suspect, lock | Is Catarina hiding something, or just scared? |
| Part 3: Who Is the Man with the Camera? | reporter, trust, evidence | Should they trust Vasco, or treat him as competition? |
Can I print a part?
Yes. Open a part page and press Ctrl+P (Cmd+P on a Mac). The print view keeps the question and the three word cards with a line to write a sentence, and leaves out the video and the menus.
